Quick answer
Deactivate (cancel) your plan in your account settings, then request deletion through HelloFresh's privacy page at hellofresh.com/about/ccpa. If you can't log in, email privacy@hellofresh.com.
Step 1: Stop your deliveries
HelloFresh calls canceling "deactivating" your plan. Sign in, open your account settings, find your plan settings, and deactivate the plan. Check that no boxes are still scheduled, since deliveries already being prepared may still be charged.
Deactivating stops deliveries, but your account, address, order history, and payment details stay on file.
Step 2: Request deletion of your data
HelloFresh handles privacy requests through a page where you verify your identity by signing in:
It's best to make the request after your last delivery and charge have gone through. HelloFresh, like most companies, may keep some records, such as transaction history, where the law requires it.
HelloFresh is probably not the only one
Most people have dozens of companies holding their information, from old shopping accounts to apps they've forgotten. DataTrail scans your inbox (read-only) to find them all, flags the ones with data breaches, and writes the deletion requests for you.
