Quick answer
Deactivate your account under Account Settings > Profile > Manage account, then go to privacy.zillowgroup.com and choose Delete your data. Deactivating alone leaves some of your information in place. If you contacted agents or landlords through Zillow, they received your details directly and have their own copies.
Step 1: Deactivate your account
- Sign in at zillow.com, click your profile icon, and choose Account Settings.
- Open Profile and scroll to Manage account.
- Click Deactivate account, then Continue, give a reason, and confirm.
Step 2: Request deletion of your data
- Go to privacy.zillowgroup.com.
- Choose Delete your data and follow the steps to verify your identity.
While you're there, you can also opt out of targeted advertising at privacy.zillowgroup.com/cookie. If you used other Zillow Group sites such as Trulia or HotPads, check whether your request covers them too.
What deletion doesn't reach
When you ask to tour a home or contact an agent, lender, or landlord through Zillow, your name and contact details go to that person or business. Deleting your Zillow data doesn't remove their copies. Ask them directly if they keep calling.

Your legal right to deletion
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, or Oregon, Zillow generally has to honor your deletion request and respond within the deadline your state sets. See what your state's law requires.
Zillow is probably not the only one
Most people have dozens of companies holding their information, from old shopping accounts to apps they've forgotten. DataTrail scans your inbox (read-only) to find them all, flags the ones with data breaches, and writes the deletion requests for you.
