Quick answer
Cancel any subscription through Bumble or your Apple or Google account, then delete your profile in the app's settings. To have your data erased instead of waiting out the 28-day restore window, submit a Data Erasure Request through Bumble's support form. Bumble says that takes up to 30 days.
Step 1: Cancel your subscription
If you pay for Bumble, cancel first. If you subscribed in the iPhone or Android app, cancel in your Apple or Google account subscriptions.
Step 2: Delete your profile
Delete your account from the app's settings. Your profile is hidden from other users right away. You have 28 days to contact Bumble support to restore it; after that it can't be recovered.
Step 3: Request data erasure
To skip the 28-day window and ask Bumble to erase your data, submit a Data Erasure Request through Bumble's support request form. Bumble says it can take up to 30 days to complete.
What Bumble keeps
Bumble keeps basic account data if you were blocked, so the block can be enforced, and some data for legal or regulatory reasons. Bumble BFF and Bumble share the same account.
Your legal right to deletion
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, or Oregon, Bumble generally has to honor your deletion request and respond within the deadline your state sets. See what your state's law requires.
Bumble is probably not the only one
Most people have dozens of companies holding their information, from old shopping accounts to apps they've forgotten. DataTrail scans your inbox (read-only) to find them all, flags the ones with data breaches, and writes the deletion requests for you.
